He is FINALLY here!!!! Born May 14th at 9:44 PM weighing 8 lbs. 9 oz. and 21 inches long. Mommy had a hard time of it but it was all worth it to have a healthy baby boy!!

We have been getting ready for Chase's arrival and this is his room in the making. Johnny worked hard painting and staining the wood as well as putting the baby furniture together. We have had so much fun decorating and getting all the things baby needs.

Jennifer's Wedding

Jennifer and T.L. were married April 17th, 2009 in Weatherford, OK and I was privileged to be a part of it. It was a beautiful wedding that went off without a hitch. The kids even behaved themselves.

My sister-in-law Amber and good friend Jennifer gave me a wonderful shower that the ladies in my family attended. It was so nice and almost everyone was able to be there. My mom, grandma, and sister were the the extra special ones that I am so glad could be there. It was so good to see everyone.

It has been awhile since I have added to my blog. We have been so busy preparing for baby and getting done with school. Here are the latest ultrasound pics of baby Chase from March 5th.

Because of something they saw on the 18 week ultrasound it was necessary for a follow-up ultrasound with a perinatal specialist. They saw a choroid plexis cyst in his brain that usually doesn't cause any problems unless they see other problems too. So they looked again on 1/20/09 and they saw that the cyst had disolved and that no other problems were evident. Praise God!

Tuesday night the 16th of December I fell flat on my face, literally. I was leaving my brother-in-law's house in the dark and tripped over one of the ropes that anchor his inflatable Christmas decorations. The worst part is that when I fell I smacked the side of my face right into the edge of the sidewalk and ended up needing 3 stitches to fix the huge gash that resulted from my contact with the sidewalk. Now 3 days later my eye is black and blue and I look like a streetfighter, make that a pregnant streetfighter. After the fall, the baby was what I was most worried about but luckily our 18 week ultrasound was the scheduled for the following morning and we were able to see the baby moving around and the little heart beating furiously. We were so excited, happy, and relieved to see that everything was alright.

We are having a very exciting event happening in our lives this year. We will be welcoming a baby into our little family in May and we couldn't be more excited.
